My friend, Christy, sent this video out in a bulletin a little earlier today and, you guessed it, I just had to post it here.
This song is one I desperately wish AC/DC would bring back to the show lineup for the next tour (if or when that ever happens). Imho, it's the best number off of For Those About To Rock and it's even better performed live.
What kills me about this video was that red handkerchief/scarf that Brian Johnson wore that tour. Not to offend anyone but I always found that look a little 'Tutti-Fruiti' if you know what I mean. However, I remember it was all the rage at the time.
All the little rockers, rednecks and potheads had a big damn red handkerchief either stuffed down their back pocket or maybe tied around their thigh. I guess I wasn't cool enough to have that sense of fashion.
Anyway, why in the hell is that Jackie Moon looking guy holding up a picture of Angus during a concert in the dark?
My good friend Marja sent this out in a bulletin earlier today and I just had to post it here, too.
This a different version of Long Way than the one you usually see with boys on the back of a truck heading down Swanston St. in Melbourne. According to YouTube user, alex22350, it was filmed in March, 1976
Not the greatest quality but you get to see Bon's missing tooth and little Angus rocking his heart out. Even Phil is shown singing backup vocals!
My buddy Bob sent this one to me. It's a good quality audience clip of AC/DC performing Back In Black in Hamilton, Ontario on May 12th, 1988.
What's kind of special about it is that it's a fairly rare view of Stevie Young playing rhythm guitar in place of Malcolm who was getting treatment for alcohol addiction during that leg of the Blow Up Your Video world tour.
Angus does a little bit of his Chuck Berry imitation in this one. Bon gets a couple of drinks in during his vocal breaks. Anybody know what he actually drank on stage?
This has to be one of my favorite AC/DC videos for a couple of reasons. Chiefly, Angus looking and acting like a maniac and Bon getting brutally tackled by a rabid female fan but somehow not losing his place. Bon has some cool ad libs at the end of the song, too.
